Trump thought Canada would fold. Instead, Mark Carney and Doug Ford are targeting the industries, red states, and battlegrounds that could decide control of the Senate.
It is ironic that Premier Ford is getting so much press for his Captain Canada bluster and bravado. In practice his Conservative government policies and behaviours align more with Trump and the Republicans, much to the detriment of our province and the wellbeing of its citizens. Here in Ontario we need a leader cut from the same cloth as our Prime Minister, but such leaders appear to be rare everywhere. I am immensely grateful that P.M. Carney is at the helm of our country. 🇨🇦
And even if the democrats do manage a win in these states don’t expect even a tiny “thank you” from any of them and don’t expect that the tariffs will decline or disappear even if the Dems win the next federal election, at least according to Gavin Newsom!

In practical terms Dems need 5, to reach 52 Senate seats.
