In the absence any effective opposition from the Democrats and any effective leadership from the Republicans, cataloguing Trump’s daily crimes is a waste of space. We’re under occupation in America today. Both parties in Congress seem hardly to exist. It’s finally painfully clear how much we all depended on norms and customs to manage our politics. Now we suffer a man who has nothing but contempt for norms and customs, who leads a mob who will gladly suffer for him.

If there’s any good news here, it’s that the Trump side has already declared war on us, but these same wannabe warriors show up to fight without the key weapon they need: facts. They disarm themselves by ignoring common sense. They demand to be misled. They sacrifice the facts of their own epidemiology, finances, and political leadership. Their blind loyalty makes them cannon fodder for exploitation. Their idea of devotion is to get ripped off by Trump. His idea of leadership is to rip them off, and now that he’s on the way out, he doesn’t care how obvious it is.
Instead of listing the daily wrongdoings by the Trump right we need to make ourselves stronger against it. If they want to make war by politicizing reality, then getting vaccinated becomes a weapon against them. It works. Dumping Fox News and CBS is a weapon. It works. Using mass transit—it works. You see where this goes. At the foundation Trump is pushing waste and stupidity as hallmarks of authentic Conservatism. Not being wasteful and stupid, decision by decision in daily life, is 100% effective against him.
