Good on the BBC... trumpy is caught in a bind of his own making. So typical of the man-child... when unhappy sue for $10 billion... that'll teach em! HA! But unlike the weak-kneed justice system in the United States the BBC isn't a soft touch. Let the battle (???) begin. We the People don't want the Jan 6 fiasco to disappear into the history books, just as with the epstein kerfuffle, let fresh air flow around all.

The problem with suing when you don’t have clean hands. Look at Michael Wolf’s litigation with Melania. She will not like the discovery.

Yes, this is actually a fairly well-known "gotcha" in high-profile picque-instigated defamation suits. Sometimes the lawsuit-inspiring statements are made for this very reason, or at least with it firmly in mind.

Iy looks like Jack Smith will be vindicated in civil court. Donnies legal team can do nothing to stop it. I'm going to need more popcorn.

Good luck, England. Trump thinks he's your king, too.

Yeah TFG will drop the suit. He’s a coward. Period.

Kind of like he's never sued anyone who's accused him or being a pedophile.

It's a shame that US voters are unable to see this documentary before the November elections.

To watch the BBC Panorama documentary Trump: A Second Chance?, UK residents can stream it directly on BBC iPlayer.

However, if you are located in the United States, you cannot officially stream or purchase the documentary, as the BBC maintains that it was never licensed or made available on American platforms (including BritBox or BBC Select).

Ooooh ok, I forgot that not everyone in the US frequent BBC.

Unless you have a VPN and set it to a UK city?

David Marshland's avatar

If you want to access BBC iPlayer, you need to confirm you’re a licence player. You can only have a licence if you’re a UK resident.

In other words you cannot legally watch on iPlayer if resident outside the UK without yourself committing a couple of offences.

Good point. As an automatic licence payer it never occurred to me.

Phoenix213's avatar

I don't know about that. I'm not really computer savvy.

I have no idea unless you uses some search engines and ask the question.

And it couldn’t happen to a more deserving purported human being than Trump.

A tRump judge and a Florida charge where the film was never shown in the US looks good for a plaintiff not having standing which they have used before to get a dismissal.

There's No Pride! There's No Shame! Trump is a career criminal, and the Repugnants who support him are his accomplices! The January 6th Insurrection is another “Day That Should Live In Infamy!”. May the Instigators who perpetrated that heinous crime Rot in Incarcerated Hell!!!

He’ll drop the case. He won’t care if it looks like he is fleeing. He’s done it before, without an ounce of shame. TACO

Dear Fellow Citizens,

I am a retired police detective with 45-years of, “LE” (Law Enforcement) experience.

The reach of, “The Man Who Would Be King” and his evil, complicit minions, continues to exceed his grasp! Does it not!?

HOPE LIVES!!!

Thank God for this development with our old ally STANDING STRONG with us once again in this, the Darkest Hour of our Republic since, “The War Between the States.”

In regard to the current administration possibly coming to its senses and actually caring about, We the People, I will sign-off with some old Street Cop knowledge that applies right here, right now, going forward. Simply put:

YOU CAN’T MAKE ICE-CREAM. OUT OF SHIT.

RESPECTFULLY SUBMITTED

"The pattern is consistent...

trump fights aggressively...

Discovery threatens to expose something damaging...

And his team looks for an exit."

JUST like trump's ILLEGAL WAR in Iran!!

NEVER EVER BACK DOWN TO A BULLY or they will continue to chase you FOREVER!!

Andy Crowe's avatar

But tragically thousands have died in Iran and Palestine thanks to his cruel and criminal bullying. As a Brit I'm proud of the BBC and would so like Trump to be sent to trial at the ICC in The Hague.

But the case is before Judge Altman. Although some Trump judicial appointees are actually following the law, others are his enablers. Would that he be the former.

Intent is a factor and djt will admit illegal intent! Just ask him!

Excellent! Bravo BBC.

Moral compass's avatar

Hopwfully BBC doesn't let them just drop this shit against them. How can you hold a rally named "Stop the Steal" and then claim your intent wasn't to overturn an election and incite riot.

He'll drop the case and the loyalists will fabricate some lame reason. They'll repeat it on a continuous loop, before it disappears from the collective memory.
