Making a plan to vote is good. Helping at least 3 other people make a plan or get to a polling place is better. Helping people get to an early voting place or use their mail in ballot is a really good deed. We talk so much about personal voting that I am afraid we forget the seniors, disabled, carless people who need assistance to get to the polling center.
Vote by mail anywhere it is possible. It's much easier to vote at home with no time pressure. You also have time to research the lesser know elections (e.g. judges). Don't use the mail to send your ballot back. Use a drop box to avoid all problems with postal service. Unfortunately our mail service is less and less reliable. Even personal correspondence has wildly variable delivery times now.
They were in Pontiac for the primaries and the turnout was some of the lowest in 30 years. We are coming up with ideas in our group to push early voting and voter registration.

I am nervous about that but I'm still going to vote, that's for sure.💙
