I'm Furious! What About You?
The GOP's War on the Environment—and How We Can Fight Back
Subscribe for updates on the fight to protect our environment and hold leaders accountable.
The environment—our shared planet—is under attack, and it's not just a skirmish. The GOP’s war on environmental protections has escalated into a full-blown assault with potentially devastating consequences for all of us.
The stakes couldn’t be higher, yet we’re watching as critical safeguards are dismantled one by one, clearing the path for pollution, deforestation, and unchecked corporate greed.
Let’s call it what it is: Republicans have waged a campaign to undermine nearly every environmental protection in place.
Did you breathe a little easier when the Clean Power Plan was implemented? Well, it’s been trashed.
Did you feel hopeful when rules were set to safeguard the air you breathe and the water you drink? Guess what? Those are getting shredded, too. This isn't hyperbole—it's reality.
Deregulation Isn’t Freedom—It’s Devastation
Here’s the deal: the GOP is obsessed with "deregulation," a fancy word that really means allowing industries to run roughshod over our environment with no accountability.
Trump’s administration laid the groundwork, initiating one of the most significant rollbacks of environmental protections in U.S. history.
From gutting the Endangered Species Act to scrapping Mercury and Air Toxic Standards, they’ve shown us what they really care about—and it’s certainly not the health of the planet or its people.
Now, they’re doubling down.
Have you heard about Project 2025? It includes the conservatives' not-so-secret blueprint to further eviscerate the Environmental Protection Agency.
The goal? To strip it of its powers, reduce its capacity, and render it unable to enforce any meaningful regulations.
It’s like handing the fox the keys to the henhouse and hoping for the best. Except this isn’t a henhouse—it’s the air we breathe and the water we drink.
And for what? A quick buck? Corporate profit?
Well, yes actually. And it’s no secret. The fossil fuel industry lines GOP pockets, and in return, they get regulatory loopholes big enough to drive an oil tanker through.
Climate Change: Denial Reigns Supreme
Perhaps the most infuriating aspect of this environmental war is the denial.
Despite overwhelming scientific consensus and increasingly catastrophic natural disasters, a large swath of the GOP still refuses to acknowledge climate change’s reality, let alone address it —- proving the adage “Money Talks, Bullshit Walks!”
They brush off wildfires, heatwaves, floods, and hurricanes as "just the weather." What more will it take? Would a biblical plague of locusts get their attention? Not that “bought and paid for” conservative lawmakers would care…
The irony is that these disasters often hit red states the hardest. Yet, there’s zero urgency from their elected officials to do anything about it.
Instead, they’re too busy cozying up to Big Oil execs, repealing emission standards, and peddling the false notion that green energy will ruin the economy.
Spoiler alert: nothing will ruin the economy faster than an uninhabitable planet.

It’s Time to Get Mad—and Get Moving!
We are running out of time. Every rollback, every deregulation, every dismissive remark about climate science sets us back years.
The GOP is not just asleep at the wheel; they’ve actively chosen to steer us off a cliff. Anyone who’s not furious yet isn’t paying attention! This isn’t just a political issue—it’s a survival issue.
The next election could be a turning point. It’s no longer just about "liberal vs. conservative" or "blue vs. red." It’s about life vs. catastrophe.
The climate crisis doesn’t care about party lines, but it certainly cares about policy. And so should you.
So, here’s the bottom line: if you care about the planet, your children’s future, or even just your right to breathe clean air, you need to vote.
Vote for candidates who prioritize the environment—who recognize the climate crisis as an existential threat that demands urgent action.
Get registered. Show up at the polls.
When liberals and progressives vote, liberals and progressives win. It’s that simple!
