Well written and should be shared in MAGA land but the historic significance would be lost. Thank you '

I'm not sure it's a "cage," since most Americans know nothing of Versailles, but it's a nice tweak.

Wrong!!!!!

EDUCATED AMERICANS KNOW WHAT THE TREATY OF VERSAILLES WAS!!!

That was so embarrassing but totally unsurprising.

You got that right, would-be king donnie is and always has been small, uneducated, and thoroughly outmatched in every respect... grand negotiator? laugh. sharp businessman? more laughter. peace time president? starting to giggle. sane and healthy man? oh boy.... Nope, proven over and over again, small, uneducated, and thoroughly outmatched in every respect.

I’m sure the French were more than well aware of how ignorant the entire US government was regarding any part of history, most especially anything that didn’t happen IN the USA. Ignorance is not bliss it’s stupidity!

Not to forget that Versailles was the home of Louis XIV, the "Sun King", and of Louis XVI and is wife Marie Antoinette. They were taken from Versailles to the Bastille prison during the French Revolution and died under the guillotine. Do you know whether Melania is with him...?

I think we were taught about the Versailles surrender in junior high in a public school in a working class town. It is not exactly an obscure item in history. Trump the stable genius. Best and brightest.

For Europe, America’s surrender is a cold shower. The continent suddenly realises its security blanket is full of holes. Washington won’t always show up, NATO isn’t a magic shield, and EU leaders must face the world without a superpower babysitter. Allies panic‑shop for new partners, Russia feels taller, and Europe learns the hard way that multipolarity isn’t theory — it’s their new neighbourhood.
