Matt Gaetz Accusations Are All True: Two New Reports Confirm
Hammer dropped on the former congressman by House Ethics Committee and Florida Bar Association
Matt Gaetz has spent his career posturing as a victim of a weaponized political system, but the documents released by the House Committee on Ethics and Florida State Bar Association reveal a reality far grimier than his “Deep State” conspiracies suggest.
The reports paint a portrait of a congressman who treated his office as a shield for illicit behavior and personal gratification. He may have resigned to avoid the immediate consequences, but the findings will remain a permanent stain on his record.
The separate investigations provide substantial evidence that Gaetz engaged in sexual misconduct, illicit drug use, and obstruction of a congressional investigation.
An Illicit, Transactional Lifestyle
Federal investigators and House Ethics staff uncovered a pattern of behavior defined by the commodification of sex.
The Committee found that Gaetz paid women for sexual activity over a period of years, utilizing peer-to-peer payment apps to facilitate these transactions. This was not a series of romantic misunderstandings.
The report states explicitly that Gaetz “enticed and procured women to engage in sexual activity for hire and purchased the services of women engaging in sexual activity for hire”.
Evidence also points to the exploitation of a minor. The Committee concluded there was “substantial evidence that Representative Gaetz engaged in sexual activity with a 17-year-old girl.”
Testimony corroborated that this encounter occurred at a party in 2017, where Gaetz was also observed using illegal drugs.
Gaetz publicly denied these allegations, claiming his payments were merely “generosity to ex-girlfriends,” but the Committee found this defense “to be untrue”.
Drug use appears to have been a routine component of his social life. The investigation identified multiple instances between 2017 and 2019 where Gaetz used or possessed cocaine and ecstasy.
Witnesses described parties where he provided drugs to women, creating an environment that the Committee noted could “impair their ability to really know what was going on or fully consent.”
Privilege, Favors, and Obstruction
Gaetz did not just break the rules; he actively tried to hide his actions. The Committee found that he “knowingly and willfully sought to impede and obstruct” their investigation.
He provided evasive responses, withheld relevant documents, and attempted to mislead investigators regarding his travel and expenses.
When confronted with evidence of accepting impermissible gifts - such as a 2018 trip to the Bahamas involving private plane travel - he prioritized covering his tracks over transparency.
Political power was also wielded for personal benefit. The report details how Gaetz arranged for his Chief of Staff to secure an expedited passport for a woman he was having sex with.
He falsely told the State Department she was a constituent, a clear violation of House regulations that prohibit dispensing “special favors or privileges” to personal associates.
This incident underscores a mindset where government resources existed to serve his private affairs rather than the public interest.
The Florida Bar
The Florida Bar opened its own inquiry, but ultimately decided against formal discipline in May 2025.
Their dismissal of the case was not a declaration of innocence. It was a finding of “no probable cause” based on specific professional conduct rules. The grievance committee focused on provisions that distinguish “offenses of personal morality” from crimes that directly impact a lawyer’s fitness to practice law.
Legal technicalities saved Gaetz, but the Bar’s commentary was scathing. The committee issued a Letter of Advice stating clearly that their decision “does not indicate that the committee condones your conduct.”
They noted that his actions “appear to undermine the rule of law, standards of professionalism and the dignity of the profession.”
The letter admonished him, warning that such behavior is “inconsistent with the responsibilities of members of The Florida Bar.”

The Truth Catches Up with Gaetz
Gaetz has managed to avoid federal charges and disbarment, yet these documents leave him with nowhere to hide his reputation.
The House Ethics Committee concluded that his conduct “reflects discreditably upon the House,” a damning epitaph for his congressional career. He took advantage of vulnerable women, abused his office, and believed he could obstruct his way out of trouble.
This outcome represents a failure of accountability in the traditional sense, as he retains his liberty and his law license. However, the publication of these findings ensures the truth is now a matter of public record.
The system may have let him walk away, but the evidence remains for all to see.

Turns out the “witch hunt” defense collapses when the receipts are itemized, timestamped, and signed by multiple investigators.
He didn’t beat the allegations. He out-procedured them. And that’s not innocence, that’s paperwork doing cardio.
this country does NOT hold these white privileged men accountable. WTF has happened to us? we take better care of criminals than we do victims. this cuntry (no misspell) sucks.
