I couldn't vote until I turned 21 (yeah, I'm that old). So I can only remember three presidents that I would consider great. Eisenhower, I wasn't old enough to vote for, John F. Kennedy, would have been great if he wasn't assassinated (in my opinion it was an inside job, and not Oswald.) and President Obama.
I didn't agree with everything President Obama did but so much of the ideas he had were for our nation and its population. But by then McConnell had a tight grip on the Senate and made sure that nothing that went through the House either came to a vote or never was considered for even a debate. I truly believe that many in Congress were so aghast that a black man was elected that they showed their true racist feelings for all to see.

Carter was a decent man, but did not really shine until after he'd left office.
