We need A LOT of musicians to do this, in the same manner as those in the 1960s and 1970s stood up and created anthems against Vietnam, racism, sexism, and the Nixon Administration. The current generation needs its own musical heroes!!! 😎✌️

It's also reminds me of the rebel tunes of Ireland

RAT- Rock Against Tyranny- is a musical force in Chicago! Local bands playing original protest songs. Loud distorted guitars and sick riffs are the last line of defense. Here is ‘No’ a protest song by Triple that says ‘No to lies corruption king size’. Rock it out!

We had political music during the 60's and 70's during the height of the Vietnam war...the music was a clarion call for us rabble rousers and agitators to rise up and say no to the system. government feared us...artists play a significant role in political discourse, it's freedom of expression to call out the systems criminal activity, its racism/bias, its violence, its protectionism of white corporate elitism..Neil Young and Bruce Springsteen were integral to that clarion call some 60 yrs ago and thankfully they continue that resistance in their music today. If there was ever a time, like the Vietnam war, it is now...we need our artists, poets, songwriters, musicians to write and sing those protest words...we need that clarion call.

When rock stars are the ones explaining why “one of ours, all of yours” is a Nazi slogan, that’s not celebrity drama, that’s a systems failure. Morello didn’t overreact. He recognized it immediately because history has receipts. What’s wild isn’t the language artists are using, it’s that Congress is quiet enough to make musicians sound like the adults in the room. When the people who once just wrote protest songs are now spelling out basic moral red lines, that’s not rebellion cosplay. That’s the alarm going off while the people paid to respond keep hitting snooze.

Really massive non-compliance and really massive protests and selective boycotting are needed NOW, before that is made illegal. Many millions on the streets are needed to stop trump. Or, of course, three bullets fired through his car window at point blank range.

boycotting will never be illegal…it’s your choice and will always be your choice where and how you spend your money…protests, non-compliance, civil disobedience those can potentially become illegal if this fascist regime stays in place…we have not completely lost all of our rights and we are in the fight of our lives to save this democracy…that means we research candidates and we vote…and we hold our representatives accountable for what they say during their campaigns and we ask them pointed questions like, will they will continue to support genocide in Palestine by giving money to Israel, and we don’t let them skirt around with word salad answers. We still have some power left. Democracy is not a spectator sport we have to get in the game and demand our narrative not the governments. That all said there is no condoning violence….if we do then the murders of Renee Good, George Floyd, Brianna Taylor, Keith Porter, etc…deny us a any moral standing against violence. We need that moral standing now more than ever.
