He's right. The GOP has no desire to work with others. Except when they need to get something through the House and their caucus isn't totally behind it. Don't do it.
What do you mean 2016? Were you too young for the passage of Obamacare? Let me recount the history. We adopted a model of healthcare from Massachusetts, which was dubbed "Romneycare" after REPUBLICAN Mitt Romney. That healthcare plan came from the conservative Heritage Foundation, you know, the Project 2025 folks. Then the legislation was watered down by a number of REPUBLICAN amendments, which were accepted by the Democratic Party to aid the passage of the bill, along with backroom negotiations with lobbyists. And then in the end the bill was passed with, hold on, checking my math... yes, ZERO REPUBLICAN VOTES.
It's embarrassing that we have to turn to Michael Steele of all people for strategy. But apparently that is the state of Democratic leadership.
Fuck that...cons don't care to work w the terrible libs. They can suck off as far ad I'm concerned.

Yeah, Dems need to stand firm and not "reach across the aisle," but actively work against the GOP at every single turn.
