I wish saner minds would hear this plea; distressingly however, the one man on Earth who won't is the one you have addressed. His pathology is such that economic collapse is preferable to admitting failure, and we are all of us paying, and will continue to pay for our electoral apathy, until he either leaves the mortal plane, is impeached, or his term ends. I only hope to survive at this point. I never skip voting; a personal plea to our fellow Americans is that they choose not to skip voting again.

Trump is like Brer Rabbit punching the tar baby. The harder he punches the stucker he gets. He has no good options. He is stuck in McDonald's, and they do not have TACOs on the menu there.

Good article, Mr. Ward. It reminds me of Laurel and Hardy’s phrase “Well, here’s another nice mess you’ve gotten me into!” Pity this unprovoked American tragedy wasn’t truly comedy.

I generally agree, but I would encourage the Epstein regime to completely deplete military stockpiles, so maybe it will finally leave sovereign nations in Latin America, like Cuba and Venezuela among others, alone. Complain about their political systems all you want, but you know that neither Cuba nor Venezuela poses any military or physical or political threat to the U.S., other than perhaps demonstrating that socialism can work at some level (and would much better if the US were not collectively punishing their citizens by sanctioning and/or blockading them). Also, if you hate on their political systems but have a house full of Chinese-made products, then that has a whiff of hypocrisy. Let sovereign LatAm countries be. You'll notice they typically do not fight wars against one another. E.g., Brazil borders 10 countries and has not been at war with any of them in more than a century and a half. The last major war in South America was 90 years ago. Mexico's last war with a foreign power was during the 1860s, except for some U.S. military meddling and resistance thereto during the Mexican Revolution ~110 years ago. Who cares if countries like Cuba are not exactly democratic? The USA circa 2025-26 is one to talk!

Am I the only one who doesn’t believe that Putin, Saudi Princes, Bibi and every corporation that is making Billions off this war had nothing to do with starting it? Every one of them wanted this war for their own corrupt reason to have the Strait closed. Trump takes his orders from these creeps! It was intentional from the very beginning. Check out what Gas and Oil executives are clearing in profit compared to past years. Also food stores that have raised their prices just to make $ for their stockholders who are making billions.
