Benjamin Netanyahu—currently wanted by the International Criminal Court—just nominated Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize.
Yes, you read that right. Netanyahu, facing an arrest warrant for alleged war crimes, thinks Trump—convicted last year on 34 felony counts and now comfortably into his second term—is the ideal candidate for a prize meant to honor peacemakers.
Oh, and this comes less than a month after Trump launched a pre-emptive strike on Iran. And, nothing screams "peace" like bombing nuclear sites and then asking for a trophy.
Netanyahu’s move isn’t exactly a ringing endorsement of Trump’s peacemaking prowess—it’s more like handing out a participation trophy in the high-stakes world of international diplomacy.
Netanyahu’s letter, presented at a White House dinner, praised Trump for “forging peace” in the Middle East.
This, of course, is the same Trump who just finished flexing his military muscle in Iran and whose “peace plan” for Gaza seems to involve letting Palestinians “choose” to leave their home.
Naturally, this is an idea Netanyahu spun as “free choice,” while the rest of the world calls it a blueprint for ethnic cleansing.
Meanwhile, the humanitarian cost of the Gaza conflict continues to mount, with nearly 60,000 deaths—most of them Palestinian civilians. But sure, let’s hand out a peace prize to one of the architects of this chaos.
After all, Trump’s obsession with the Nobel is legendary. He’s been nominated multiple times (2018, 2020, 2021, and now twice in 2025), but his odds of actually winning are about as good as his odds of reviving Trump Steaks or Trump Airlines.
Maybe the Nobel Committee should consider a new category: “Most Nominations Without a Win.”
The real kicker? This nomination is less about peace and more about political theater. Netanyahu, facing criminal prosecution at home in Israel and before the ICC, gets to cozy up to Trump, while Trump gets to add another “nomination” to his collection—never mind that his latest foreign policy achievement involved dropping bombs, not brokering peace.
Ultimately, the entire spectacle is a farce. If the Nobel Peace Prize is meant to honor genuine efforts toward global harmony, then this nomination is the diplomatic equivalent of giving a pyromaniac a fire safety award.
Trump’s odds of winning? Let’s just say they’ve dipped below zero—and are still falling fast.

And if he does not get it this time, he will threaten to disband the Committee and hold back its funding from the US until they give him what he wants, as if they were the U of P or CNN.
Since Trump is, after all, Trump, I don't see why he doesn't just set up a prize called the "Trump Prize" and have it awarded to him. He could "win" the prizes in medicine, economics, literature, peace, physics, just about anything. AND, he wouldn't have to spend a dime because he can get his MAGA Morons to pay for it all. It's win/win/win for Trump and, isn't that what it's all about?
