Watch Michelle Obama Defend the Reiners
The former First Lady steps up when national grief met Trump's cruelty
Michelle Obama recently made a powerful statement about her and Barack Obama’s longtime personal friends Rob and Michelle Reiner during a Monday appearance on The Jimmy Kimmel Show. Her words were a stark contrast to the hateful rhetoric coming from figures like Donald Trump.
Obama said,
“Let me just say this, unlike some people, Rob and Michelle Reiner are some of the most decent, courageous people you ever want to know. They are not deranged or crazed.
”What they have always been is passionate people in a time when there’s not a lot of courage going on. They were the kind of people who were ready to put their actions behind what they cared about.
”And they cared about their family, and they cared about this country, and they cared about fairness and equity. And that is the truth. I do know them.”
In this simple yet poignant remark, Obama highlighted what made the Reiners stand out in an increasingly divisive political landscape. Their dedication to fairness, equity, and their family sets them apart from others who are content to sit back and watch the country falter.
Trump’s Truth Social post reads like an obituary written by a bully
Trump’s post did not offer compassion. It offered contempt, wrapped in the language of diagnosis and blame:
“A very sad thing happened last night in Hollywood. Rob Reiner, a tortured and struggling, but once very talented movie director and comedy star, has passed away, together with his wife, Michele, reportedly due to the anger he caused others through his massive, unyielding, and incurable affliction with a mind crippling disease known as TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME, sometimes referred to as TDS.
“He was known to have driven people CRAZY by his raging obsession of President Donald J. Trump, with his obvious paranoia reaching new heights as the Trump Administration surpassed all goals and expectations of greatness, and with the Golden Age of America upon us, perhaps like never before.
“May Rob and Michele rest in peace!”
That is not mourning. That is a victory lap staged over two bodies.

The Reiners: Courage in Action
The Reiners, who have dedicated much of their lives to advocating for fairness and social justice, have always been more than just figures in the political sphere.
They have consistently stood for the rights of those who need it most. Unlike many who make hollow promises, the Reiners put their words into action, always ready to fight for what they believed was right.
Their legacy is one of integrity and action in a time when these qualities seem harder to find. In contrast, Trump’s rhetoric remains focused on division and mockery, often aimed at those who seek to make a positive impact on society.
This difference isn’t just political—it’s a moral divide that’s growing ever clearer. The Reiners’ contributions will be remembered long after the noise of today’s politics fades.

Thank you for sharing that video of Michelle Obama.
President Obama and First Lady Michelle had class, empathy, and everything the crass, vile felon that sits in our White House doesn't, never had, and will never have.

I so miss them and the dignity they brought to us for 8 years.
Michelle Obama is a woman with class and honor!
Let’s say it out loud…if Trump weren’t in his second stolen term as president, we wouldn’t be talking about him. The man is worthless and he knows unless he says it himself, threatens others to say it, or pays to have it said, no one will say one single nice thing about him! He is a schoolyard bully wearing a suit and tie, bulldozing his way through life, our lives now, again, and when he’s gone there will only be 5 words falling from our lips describing this individual who ruined so many lives: “Trump was a soulless man.”
His “presidency” is not a legacy he’ll leave behind. His “presidency” is, and has been, a desperate plea from him, to the world, to see him, to acknowledge his existence.
Trump is a lonely man because of the way he chooses to live his life!
He will die a lonely man because of the way he chose to live his life.
And God forgive me, but knowing that gives me a degree of comfort in waking each morning for the past 11 months.
