I have some colored paper clips so I’m going to make a rainbow clip bracelet. How’s that for a statement?

I'm going with red, white and blue paper clips to show my (genuine) patriotism

You truly are. Good call on introspection-it's really working for you.

Don't be such a wimpy kid, show us who you are. Surely you're not afraid of "libtards"? Or, are your feelings just hurting too bad?

I will be wearing a paper clip bracelet for the duration of the unlawful usurping of of country. I will be looking for them and leaving them for others who LOVE freedom.

Connie Blacketer's avatar

I don't know where mom got them, but there must be 100 paper clips around here that are like 5 inches long and indestructible. For people who ask me about mine, I will explain the significance and hand one over.

Laurie's avatar

I did the same and wear my bracelet proudly! ❤️

Time to get creative guys. There are lots of cool paperclips out there so you can make a statement and still be stylish. It’s a simple thing that we can all do.

Just don’t get the dog bone 🦴 shaped clips. They don’t look like a dog bone when in use… it’ll look like you’re wearing a phallic symbol 🤭

That could be construed as 1. He’s a prick, 2. Release the Epstein/Trump files! JS

Yes. From the start (trumps birth) he can be forced to more inappropiate behavior and worse, simply by getting close and personal. Look how easy it is to satisfy his ego....just as easy to make him "show his a**." I have been torn that of course, peoples lives are being destroyed if not wiped out by his tantrums. But the U.N. rant proves he's leaking out, they are losing control but will be forced to defend absurdity.

I’m no longer allowed to wear non-corporate approved pins on my vest at work. (In the current climate, I’m not naming my employer anymore.) You can bet your ass I put a paper clip on it as soon as I got to work today.

Paperclip - The ultimate symbol of resistance in World War II ...

The Norwegian paperclip "resistance" referred to a subtle, non-violent protest against the Nazi occupation of Norway during World War II, where people wore paperclips as a symbol of solidarity and unity, signifying that they were "bound together" like paper clips bind sheets of paper. Although the paperclip itself was not an invention of Johan Vaaler, the Norwegians embraced it as a symbol of their shared patriotism and resistance against the occupying forces. The act of wearing paperclips was a discreet act of defiance that could lead to punishment, as the German occupation forces eventually outlawed the practice.

Symbolism of the Paperclip:

Unity and Solidarity: Wearing paperclips served as a visual symbol of the Norwegian people's solidarity and unity against the Nazi occupation, showing they were "bound together".

Anti-Authoritarianism: In Norwegian, paperclips are called "binders," which added to their symbolic meaning of binding people together.

Norwegian Pride: There was a prevailing belief that the paperclip was invented in Norway, making it a patriotic symbol of national pride for Norwegians.

The Paperclip as a Symbol of Resistance:

Silent Protest: The paperclip movement allowed for a quiet, non-violent, and discreet form of resistance against the authoritarian government.

Banning the Symbol: The Nazi authorities eventually became aware of the paperclip protest and outlawed wearing them, leading to arrests and punishments for those who continued the act of defiance.

Spread and Revival: The movement spread among teachers and students and has been revived in more recent times as a symbol of peaceful protest against authoritarianism and unfair government changes.

I have just bought a bunch of paper clips at the dollar store!! I am wearing one but the rest I drop one on the counter at a store. I drop one at the front door of a store and anywhere else I am going today and will continue everyday. Spread the word 💪🇺🇸

Andrea Holland Bonneu's avatar

Thanks for sharing the history. I was given a paperclip during the first No Kings march and I've been wearing it since. This town has a Norwegian heritage, as do I, so especially apt.

Thanks for the history lesson, Anabanana. I love it. Let's hope history repeats with the paperclip resistance.

I have a paper clip on my purse, on the shirt that I work out in and when I put on a top to wear for the day, I just put a little paper clip on it. So far nobody’s asked me about it so either they don’t notice or they’re too afraid to ask. I just want to tell them but oh well. I have patience. I can wait😊

David's avatar

Ok, now I have to look for a paper 📎 clip.

Demand Trump pay her!!! He should have had to pay in full before running 2nd term

t-raise us up with Thérèse's avatar

He gets away with not paying anybody anything. He didn't even pay for the places he held his first election run at. He never pays for anything. But now he's a billionaire, he can afford to. But, my guess is that he still won't.

Paperclip Up! 📎

Anne Hopkins's avatar

The plastic paper clips come in bright, noticeable colors and won’t accidentally snag your top.

HarrisWalz FTW 2024's avatar

Great idea, but to the best of my knowledge, the woman hasn't collected a penny of those damages due her, has she? He's tied it all up in court cases, hoping he'll outlive her.

Mrs. S's avatar

Unfortunately accurate. I await the judge ordering him to pay up. The appeals courts need to refuse him. Civil lawsuits - asking attorneys out there-can SCROTUS rule on those?

Carol's avatar

He's lost 2 appeals so far. Next step I believe is Supreme Court for him to try. He also lost trying to say he had Presidential immunity! Lol The great thing is that interest is accruing daily on both the 5 mil and 83 mil He owes her!

Mrs. S's avatar

I hope she collects every penny, and soon.

Liberty Luminary's avatar

Why do you hope he will outlive her? Then she won’t get the money. Did you state that wrong or are you on his side? I can’t really tell?

HarrisWalz FTW 2024's avatar

"HE's tied it all up in court cases, hoping he's outlive her." Both phrases go with the "he." I always hated diagramming sentences, so I can't recall the academic way to describe it except to say that where I have a comma, I think you were "hearing" a semi-colon. Does that clarify it?

Mrs. S's avatar

Donnieboyo is hoping he outlives her. My impression is that his estate will still owe her, or her estate, the judgment.

HarrisWalz FTW 2024's avatar

One hopes, but still, SHE's the one who should be getting it, who should have already gotten it.

Mrs. S's avatar

I fully agree. No way should he be able to appeal over and over. Time to fork it over.

Rosemary Orlandi's avatar

speaking of bs, when is rudi coludey going to pay up ?

T-shirts! Big paper clips

t-raise us up with Thérèse's avatar

What a great idea. Think cheap and popular, but not made in China. Wouldn't it be grank if they became as popular as the smiley face T-shirts of the 1970s?

settybue's avatar

Weaponize the paperclip! Will it fall under the category of lethal weapon or first amendment expression... kind of like the open carry laws. Wear your rights in public. The paper clip could become useful...! Peace y'all!
